Castek One of Canada’s 50 Best
Arthur Andersen honors Canadian Owned Software Company
Toronto, ON, December 15, 1999 – Castek Software Factory
is one of the 50 best managed companies in Canada, according
to Arthur Andersen, which runs the prestigious National
Competition for Canadian Privately Owned Companies.
Arthur Andersen Enterprise Group made the announcement
in today’s National Post.
The 50 best managed companies in Canada have outstripped
their competitors, created thousands of jobs, produced
accelerating revenues, and excelled both at home and
abroad. Arthur Andersen selected Castek because of its
superior vision, the implementation of its innovative
and successful business strategy, its motivated team
of employees and its outstanding customer service.
"At Castek, as our core ideologies state, we lead
through innovation and seek to capture strategic value
in all activities. We get the job done, have fun and
learn a lot, which is how we consistently fulfill our
clients’ needs and exceed their expectations,"
said Yung Wu, Castek President and CEO. "While
we’ve enjoyed many measures of success over the past
ten years, winning the 50 Best Managed is a pinnacle
in our achievements to date. The real value of this
award is that it recognizes the contribution made by
each individual to Castek’s overall success. Our people
are the key reason for our success – we’re proud to
share this award with each one of them."
In an e-business economy, financial services organizations
need software solutions that are responsive and faster
than change itself. While others are taking first steps
towards these types of solutions, Castek is already
providing competitive advantage to customers such as
Zurich Financial Services Group and The Bank of Canada.
"Castek pioneered component-based development,
an innovative approach to delivering large-scale, complex
yet flexible and adaptable business software solutions.
Our solutions have the inherent capability to be the
drivers, not inhibitors of change as organizations reinvent
and reconfigure themselves in the e-business driven
economy," added Wu. "In the 9 years since
inception, Castek has a 100 percent track record of
delivering solutions to clients in very aggressive time
frames – on time and on budget."
This award comes at the end of a very exciting year
for Castek which included: achieving an annual growth
rate of over 70%; launching Insure3, a "best
of breed" software solution for the insurance industry
and; creating a partnership with IBM for the distribution
of Insure3 in North America.
